We Safely Remove Trees

See our FAQ.

Removing a large tree can be a complex and potentially dangerous task, but we have done it may times, here is our process:

Assess the tree: Before beginning the tree removal process, carefully assess the tree to determine the best approach. Consider the size and condition of the tree, as well as its location and the potential impacts of removal.

Develop a plan: Once we have assessed the tree, develop a plan for how to safely remove it. This may include determining the direction in which you want the tree to fall, identifying any potential hazards in the area (such as power lines or buildings), and determining what equipment and tools we will need.

Cut the tree: To begin the tree removal process, we will need to make a series of cuts to the tree. Start by making a horizontal cut about one-third of the way through the trunk on the side where you want the tree to fall. Next, make a vertical cut from the top of the horizontal cut down to a point about one foot above the ground. This will create a hinge that will help to guide the tree in the desired direction as it falls. Finally, make a second horizontal cut through the remaining portion of the trunk on the opposite side of the vertical cut. This will remove the remaining section of the trunk and allow the tree to fall.

Remove the branches: Once the tree has been cut down, we use a chainsaw or other cutting tool to remove the branches. Start at the top of the tree and work your way down, cutting the branches into manageable sections and lowering them to the ground.

Cut the trunk into sections: Use a chainsaw or other cutting tool to cut the trunk of the tree into smaller sections that are easier to handle. These sections can then be removed from the property or chipped into mulch.

We will always follow proper safety procedures when removing a large tree, including wearing protective gear such as a hard hat, eye protection, and earplugs, and following the manufacturer’s instructions for any power tools or equipment you are using. If you are unsure about any aspect of the tree removal process, please ask us, we want you to be assured your job is done correctly.
